Beware of Mobile Text and Phone Call Scams
Your financial security is more crucial than ever. At cPort, we’re dedicated to safeguarding your valuable information. We not only identify threats but also equip you with the knowledge and tools to stay protected.
Rising Threats
Recently, we’ve seen a surge in mobile text and phone call scams. Scammers pose as financial institutions, claiming you have a fraud charge or urgent issue. They request sensitive information like your username, password, or a 4–6-digit one-time passcode.
Your Protection
cPort will never ask for your online banking username, password, debit card PIN, or a one-time passcode via text or call. A message or call asking for personal information is a clear red flag signaling a potential scam.
Stay Safe with These Tips:
- Initiate the Contact: Only share personal information if you initiate the contact.
- Verify Requests: cPort will never ask for your PIN, Username, or Password through calls or texts.
- Be Cautious: Avoid opening attachments or clicking links from unknown sources.
- Keep Secrets: Never share one-time passcodes or eBanking passwords.
- Monitor Regularly: Keep an eye on your account activity.
- Update Information: Ensure your account details are current for proper identification.
